Eventually you might meet some boy who plays Magic. If you choose not to begin a relationship with him because he’s too deep into the game and all his friends play too that doesn’t mean that anything is wrong with you. You are not shallow or judgmental; you are not necessarily passing up “a great guy.” You don’t have to play second fiddle to a game and you don’t have to accept his guilt-tripping and the cruelty of his friends all of whom play all of whom resent you for the loss of their raiding buddy or playtest partner. You don’t have to accept his culture and that culture’s ignorance to your needs nor do you have to subject yourself to their biases.
Very long read, but interesting.
I have been practicing Merfolk all week for an upcoming Modern GP and was offered the cards to expand the list and play legacy Merfolk.
Watching Star City legacy coverage is really my only knowledge of the format.
It was a long odd day - I managed to come 10th out of 59.
3 hours sleep, get up…
On vacation to the Oregon coast with family & friends. My friend works for Wizards and grabbed me a bag of goodies, including a bunch of core and intro decks. We opened them and are teaching her brother and our friend to play. :)
This image justifies this entire blog.
That beautiful woman is Claire Grant, a member of Team Unicorn, which does a lot of geeky self promotion based on being hot and cute and sexy. Just google her.
But here she is playing Magic, fully clothed and without makeup!
She still looks beautiful and looks like she is having a good time and is clothed! Its really too bad that she gets more attention for being nude then for being a competent magic player.
